Cashflow OS · help with the app, the web app and the Tally Connector
The questions we get asked most. If yours is not here, write to [email protected] with your mobile number and what you see — a person reads it. We can also set the connector up with you on a call, in Hindi or English.
Signing in
How do I sign in? I never got an OTP.
There is no OTP to type. Enter your mobile number and tap to verify: your messaging app opens with a message already written — send it from that phone and come back. We know the number is yours because the message came from it.
How do I sign in on my computer?
Open app.cashflowos.in/web and scan the QR code on the screen with the Cashflow OS app (Settings → Scan QR code). No password to remember.
Tally and the connector
How do I connect my Tally?
On the Windows PC that runs TallyPrime, install the Tally Connector (needs .NET Framework 4.6.2, built into Windows 10 and 11), keep TallyPrime open, and scan the connector’s QR code with the app. Every company open in Tally can then be connected.
My books are not updating.
The connector syncs while the PC is on and TallyPrime is open. Check the connector in the Windows tray: it shows whether Tally is reachable and when each company last synced. Tally’s XML port (Help → Settings → Connectivity) must be on, usually port 9000.
Does it change my Tally data?
Only if you let it. Out of the box Cashflow OS only reads. When you switch writing on for a company, entries made in the app are created by TallyPrime’s own import, and the app shows each one as waiting, created or refused.
Do I need to update the connector?
No. It updates itself in the background and restarts into the new version when no sync is running.
Your team
Can my accountant or staff use it?
Yes. Invite them with a link from the app or the web app (Team); they sign in with their own number and get the role you choose for that company.
Your account and data
How do I delete my account?
In the app, Settings → Delete account. Without the app, see how to request deletion.
What do you keep, and who sees it?
See the privacy policy and the terms of use.
